← Unit 7 · Procedure Testing and Validation
Real-world validation and revision
15 min
0/2 practice
- Run a walkthrough validation.
- Explain why published versions are never edited in place.
After the simulator, validate with people: walk through the checklist with the real equipment, time it, and note every place someone hesitated or asked 'what does this mean?'. Those are revisions.
Approved procedures are version-controlled. A change creates a new version that goes through review again. Runs that already started keep the exact version they started with, so the record always shows what the crew actually followed.
Put it in order
Order the improvement cycle.
- 1Start a revision
- 2Test it in the simulator
- 3Record problems and feedback
- 4Use the published version
- 5Submit for review
- 6Publish the new version
